Spain

It has been a few years since Stage Entertainment entered the bullish Spanish market. It is amazing to see how much the city landscape has changed over the years and how this so-called “musicalphenomenon” has trans-formed the social and recreational life of people in the city. From the first Lope de Vega Theater, to the current three theaters, to the soon-to-be-constructed Principe Pio Theater, a lot has happened. As of 2008, Stage Entertainment will effectively run the four biggest theaters in Spain.

Every new week, thousands of enthusiastic Spaniards are experiencing the enchantment of musicals. More than 50% of our audience – 1 million people yearly – come from outside of Madrid, traveling as much as 700 km to watch Stage Entertainment shows. With the recent launch of Top Ticket España, the Spanish division of the international in-house ticketing organization, TopTicketLine, Stage Entertainment produces shows in their own theaters, while selling tickets through their own organization. Stage Entertainment has carved out, in a relatively short period of time, a dominant position in Madrid, the leading cultural city of Spain. The Spanish company employs 365 dedicated people that share a passion for theater and a belief in the power of musicals to change people’s lives, for at least one night.
